With a production capacity of 18GWh, Envision Power will build a second battery plant in Japan!
According to media reports, recently, Envision AESC, a power battery company under the Envision Technology Group, announced that it will build a new super battery factory in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, to accelerate the transformation of Japan’s electrification and achieve the 2050 goal of zero carbon emissions.
This is the recent deepening of the international layout after Envision Power recently announced that it has won orders from international first-line customers and established power battery factories in France and the United Kingdom. The Ibaraki Battery Factory will not only become Japan's largest single-cell power battery factory, but also Japan's first digital and low-carbon power battery factory.
It is reported that the plant is the second battery plant built by Envision Power in Japan, with a planned production capacity of 18GWh. After full production, it can provide a new generation of power battery products for 300,000 electric vehicles. The first phase of the plant will start mass production in 2024. Using Envision Technology Group's full life cycle zero carbon solution, the plant plans to achieve carbon neutrality in operations from the beginning of mass production.
Global CEO Masaichi Matsumoto of Envision Power, Governor Oigawa of Ibaraki Prefecture of Japan, Ashwani Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Nissan Motor, and Senior Executive Officer Hasegawa attended the launch ceremony of the new plant.
Global CEO Masaichi Matsumoto of Envision Power said: Power batteries are the core of electric vehicles, and the establishment of a localized battery supply chain is a key guarantee for promoting the development of electric vehicles in various countries. Therefore, the construction of the new plant in Ibaraki will help Japan take an important step in zero-carbon industry and zero-carbon transportation. At present, Envision Power has successively built the most advanced power battery factories in France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and China, and promised to achieve carbon neutrality in the factories. Envision Power is willing to work with governments and automobile manufacturers to make contributions to the realization of global sustainable development and fulfill Envision Technology Group's mission of "solving challenges for the sustainable future of mankind".
Mr. Oigawa, Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, said that Envision Power is a world-leading smart battery technology company. The construction of a new battery factory will lay an important foundation for Japan to achieve its carbon neutral goal and will also create new opportunities for the development of the Japanese automobile industry. The Ibaraki Prefecture Government will fully support the advancement and completion of the project.
It is understood that the Ibaraki battery super factory will also make full use of the green technology advantages of the Envision Group to start the construction of the battery ecosystem, bk specialized in manufacturing testing line for lithium battery manufacturer, welcome to visit www.bluekeychina.com www.batterytester-bk.com for more….and conduct joint research and cooperation with Japanese automobile companies, scientific research institutions, and universities to provide global users with higher High-quality, longer cruising range, more cost-competitive, cleaner and low-carbon power battery products will in turn promote Japan's green revival and global zero-carbon transformation.
